My Enterpryze Internship: 3 Months of Leads, Laughs, and Learning

As my three months as an intern at Enterpryze comes to an end, I’ve been given the task of writing this blog post, and the chance to properly reflect on the experience, the learnings, and everything in between.
What started as “get some office experience” turned into something genuinely meaningful in my college journey and something I know I’ll carry with me, both professionally and personally, for a long time. If I had to sum it up in a few words: an incredible few months, with incredible people.
First Impressions and Finding My Feet
When I first walked into Enterpryze, I had no idea what to expect. I had little-to-no knowledge of ERP, a bit of marketing experience… and absolutely no idea what to wear on day one.
To take you back there: I arrived in my best Sunday dress suit. It took me about five minutes to realise I was slightly overdressed. That suspicion was confirmed by lunchtime when one of my colleagues asked, with impressive seriousness, if I planned to ever wear a tie into the office again.
My response was immediate: absolutely not.
From that point on, the nerves eased, the caffeine tolerance went up, and I started to settle in properly. The team couldn’t have been more welcoming and within a day or two, I felt like I belonged.
Then came the real challenge: Enterpryze ERP. This was my first time ever seeing an ERP platform, and the thoughts in my head were mainly: I am going to break something… and is it meant to be this easy to understand?
Getting to Grips with ERP
At the beginning, I thought I was an ERP wizard because I could fill in a few missing fields on a lead or customer record. That confidence didn’t last long. It turns out there’s a tiny bit more to ERP than that.
But that’s what made the work so valuable. Doing a full data cleanse, for example, was a brilliant way to get familiar with the platform and learn the basics properly, not just “click around and hope.”
One of my biggest takeaways from the internship was seeing how everything connects between the theory I’ve learned over the last two years in college and real-world business problems especially in marketing. I got proper hands-on exposure to tools like Canva, Mailchimp, and Apollo, tools I’m sure I’ll be using for years to come.
Being Trusted with Real Responsibility
What really stood out to me was that I wasn’t here making coffees or sitting silently in the corner “observing.” I was given meaningful work. I was trusted. I was allowed to make mistakes and learn from them instead of just being told what to do, step-by-step, with no room to think.
That freedom helped me understand the importance of brand consistency and awareness, while still getting the chance to be creative which, honestly, is exactly what you hope for in an internship.
And the reason it all worked so well? The people. The team at Enterpryze has been incredibly welcoming, approachable, and helpful from day one. No question felt too big or too stupid to ask which made the entire experience far more comfortable and a lot less intimidating.
Working in an environment like that makes it easier to learn, because you’re not afraid of getting something wrong. It was also very clear to me how much a company’s culture can shape your whole experience. I’d be very lucky to find a workplace with a culture like Enterpryze’s again, one where people genuinely want to help each other.
Developing Professional Skills
Being in an office environment for the first time taught me a lot about communication, teamwork, and time management. Watching different teams support each other, like Sales working alongside the project teams to get customers launched showed me how important collaboration is when everyone is working toward the same goal. If people don’t work together, the business feels it.
Another big learning for me was feedback and how important it is to take it positively. Not as criticism, but as a chance to improve. That mindset has made a real difference for me, and it’s something I’ll bring with me into the future.
Personally, I’ve gained a lot of confidence over these three months, in what I know, in my ability to complete tasks, and in being able to offer my thoughts and try to find solutions. I feel far more comfortable in a professional setting now, and more confident trusting my own abilities.
Looking Ahead
As I move forward in my college journey and professional career, I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunity I’ve had at Enterpryze. The lessons I’ve learned, the pool table wins I’ve gathered, the unexpected experience of driving a V8 across the country (thanks Richard) and of course the people I’ve met along the way, have made this a really special chapter of my life.
I’ll look back on my time at Enterpryze very fondly, and I’m excited to see how much better they can get in the future.
