At Enterpryze, every release is shaped by the people who use it. The Excelsior Release is no different. Each month, we listen to feedback from the teams using Enterpryze every day and turn it into real, usable improvements. From production history to GS1 barcode support, this month is built around what you asked for. Let us get into it!
Enterpryze New Features May: What's New in the Excelsior Release?
Production: A Full History, Right Where You Need It
A new Production History menu item and grid gives your operations team a structured, searchable record of completed production activity. Everything in one place, easy to find.

Why this matters: Tracking what was produced, when, and by whom should not require digging through orders or chasing people for updates. The new Production History grid gives you that visibility instantly, which is exactly what you need when questions come up on the floor or in a customer call. See it in action →
Sales: Smarter Defaults, More Control
We have packed several improvements into Sales this month.
Default Salesperson and Owner Sales transactions now automatically pull in the Customer Salesperson and the logged-in user as defaults. Less manual entry, fewer assignment errors.
Why this matters: Small admin gaps add up. When every transaction needs a name manually assigned, mistakes happen and reporting suffers. Smarter defaults keep your pipeline data clean from the start. See it in action →
Auto-Create Project Codes from Sales Orders Project codes can now be generated automatically straight from a Sales Order.

Why this matters: For businesses tracking work by project, this removes a manual step that often gets skipped. Better project tracking from the moment the order is created. See it in action →
Create Service Calls for Stock Items Your team can now create Service Calls directly from stock items.
Why this matters: It tightens the link between your inventory and your after-sales service process, meaning fewer steps and less chance of something falling through the cracks.
Gross Profit Visibility by User A new user-level setting lets you control who can see gross profit figures on transactions.
Why this matters: Not everyone on your team needs to see margin data. This setting gives you the control to manage that by user, which matters both commercially and from a team management perspective.
Purchasing: Stop Duplicate References Before They Happen
Two focused improvements land in Purchasing this month. A warning now appears when a duplicate reference number is entered on a Purchase Invoice. You can also set a mandatory supplier reference field, so the information your finance team needs is always captured at the point of entry.
Why this matters: Duplicate supplier references cause reconciliation headaches that are painful to unpick. Catching them at entry, and making the reference field mandatory, keeps your payables data clean without adding extra work to anyone's day. See it in action →
Accounting: Four Updates Your Finance Team Will Notice
Simple Audit: Created By Journals and the Journal grid now display the name of the user who created each entry.
Why this matters: Audit readiness is not just for big enterprises. Knowing who posted what, and when, is a basic expectation for any finance team. Now it is right there in the grid.
Due Date vs Posting Date on Aged Reports A new switch lets you toggle between posting date and due date when running aged debtor and creditor reports.
Why this matters: How your team reads ageing depends on what you are trying to manage. If you are tracking when payment is actually due rather than when it was posted, this switch makes your aged reports meaningfully more useful.
Character Counter on Journal Reference Fields A counter now appears on Journal reference fields so your team always knows how much space they have left.
Why this matters: It is a small thing, but hitting an invisible character limit mid-entry is genuinely frustrating. Now you can see it coming.
Copy and Paste Journal Lines from Excel You can now copy Journal lines directly from Excel and paste them into Enterpryze.

Why this matters: A lot of businesses still prepare recurring journals or bulk entries outside the system. Manual re-entry is slow and error-prone. This removes that pain entirely.
Home: Find Anything, Faster
A new Search Widget is now available on the Home Screen.
Why this matters: As your team grows and your data scales, navigating to the right record quickly matters more and more. The Search Widget puts that access front and centre, right from the moment you log in.
Banking: Reconciliation Status at a Glance
The Bank Reconciliation column is now visible directly on the Payments grid for both Incoming and Outgoing payments.
Why this matters: Month-end reconciliation is already time-consuming. Being able to see reconciliation status without opening individual records speeds up the process and gives your finance team a cleaner view of what still needs attention. See it in action →
Services: Jotform and Custom Fields Now Supported
Service teams using Jotform can now take advantage of full Custom Fields support within the Services module.
Why this matters: Every service business captures slightly different information. Whether it is compliance data, job-specific fields, or client-facing details, Custom Fields support means your service workflows can be built around how you actually operate.
WMS: GS1 Barcode Support Is Live
UDI GS1 Barcode implementation is now supported within Enterpryze WMS.
Why this matters: GS1 barcodes encode serial numbers, batch numbers, and expiry dates into a single scan. For regulated industries like medical devices, pharma, or food manufacturing, this brings your warehouse scanning in line with global traceability standards. A significant step forward for compliance-driven operations.
DID YOU KNOW? The names of our product releases are inspired by starships from Star Trek. 🖖 It is a big nod to our team's passion for the series, because here at Enterpryze, we are huge fans of exploring new frontiers in technology, just like the crews of those legendary vessels.
Importer: More Control Over Your Item Data
The Items Importer now supports four additional fields, giving you greater control when bringing stock data into Enterpryze.
You can now import Minimum Quantity, Maximum Quantity, Reorder Quantity, and Default Supplier directly alongside your item records.
Why this matters: Getting your item settings right from the start saves a lot of manual tidying later. Whether you are setting up for the first time or refreshing your item list, having these fields available at import means your stock rules and supplier defaults are in place from day one, with no extra steps after the fact.
Purchasing: A Smarter Copy From Screen
The Copy From screen has been updated across all transaction types with three practical improvements.
A new Base Document column gives you clearer visibility of where a transaction originated. Totals are now displayed in the header area so you can see the full picture at a glance. And decimal places now follow your system settings correctly throughout.
Why this matters: The Copy From screen is one of the most used shortcuts in day-to-day purchasing. These updates make it faster to work with, easier to read, and more consistent with the rest of the system.
